There was a man that I slowly got to know and got along with.
However, there was a period of time (perhaps, wks. months, yrs?) that we were separated. Anyway, one day I heard he was in danger and I traveled across "many lands" (sounds vague, I know) to find him.

To make a long story short, when I finally reached him, we both stood face to face with deep longing in our eyes, and suddenly I rushed to him and kissed and embraced him tightly. He returned the embrace and we stayed like that for a while.

There was so much emotion that rushed through my body--it was as though I loved him.

What could it mean? (Sorry for the vagueness of the story--it's all I could remember)

Your subconscious is letting you know the solution to your emotional, sexual and psychic hopes and dreams. It is the feeling actually that counts. That love you felt is what you are capable of giving and it sounds wonderful.
You must help yourself continue this process of birth of a power within you that you may not have realized you had.
The travels that you went through is kind of like an old movie "Around the World in 80 days" in a balloon starring David Nevin. I forget the female star's name, but it was a great adventure.
You have to take this dream and consider it a real find within you, and in a careful, thoughtful, planned and appropriate way, let it lead you in this pursuit of your dreams. Be careful please.

PS, remember, it is the energy and the emotion of the dream that is powerful , not necessarily details of the adventure. It is not an actual map to your lover, it is a map of your inner life, your energy and passion.

Hey everyone wants dreams and it just depends on how ou interpret them. Personally I don't think dreams have any meaning to them. frankly i think that a dream is a desire. So if you take my interpretation of what a dream is, it just means you desire to love someone so damn much that you would (as your dream reads) even travel through great lengths to be close to your loved one.
Sorry if this isn't the answer you were looking for, if in fact you were looking for deep, meaningful emotion and what not.

Your sub-conscience perhaps...a movie you watched, story you read, conversations, etc. It's too bad you had to wake up, huh? Sounds to me like a sweet dream!

sounds like a good dream to me...

it sounds like you have a good feeling/confidence about something in your life. it may not be a relationship with a man, but could be anything in life. it could be your job or something. it is about that feeling of positive confidence about something that i would suggest that dream came from.
