Is work experience gained working as formwork engineer adequate Professional Engineers applicants?

You have to point out what would best apply.

If you had to calculate out water flow/pressure for irrigation sprinklers, airflow for chicken coop ventilation or other such tasks you would want to point that out.

Engineering in farming can be just as difficult and important as any other field.
