This categorie is the closest I can find to what I am wanting to know. My husband has a home recording studio and we need some bass traps for acoustic purposes. We are thinking about making them out of plywood, quilt batting and covering with faux suede. Think this would work? I know that some people use bass traps in thier home theaters

Hey there! Bass "traps" are mainly for big clubs. Lots of room and lots of noise. What you need is a diffuser. I don't know to much about studio spaces, but my buddy has this to help. Skip all the acoustic talk and jump down to the diffuser.
