Candles are always a good option. Essential oils too. And books, we like the classics, Homer, Hesiod, Ovid, the Mabinogion. History. Poetry. An Amazon.com gift certificate would be awesome, or one to Paganshopping.com (owned by friends of mine, highly recommended, but I'm biased) Picture frames are nice, especially if they have pictures of people we care about in them. Burt's Bees is good too and silver jewelry.

This year (so far) I got from my non-Pagan friends and family (they've had lots of practice) - Cookies, a candle holder, a Yule tree ornament, some really need lights my friend found at halloween and saved for me with cool witch hats and maribu feathers, home made cigarettes in a nifty new case (only works if she's a smoker, of course), a wall calendar, including moon phases, with everyone's birthdays written in, an ornament with a picture of my life partner and me in it (taken on the sly when we were napping on the couch).

My Pagan friends gave me (so far)- A nifty Witch Barbie (saved from Halloween), Cookies, various ancient Greek literature and a cook book, a cool Yule log candle holder that you stick three candles in (alas, I have no fire place), meditation CDs, a tiger eye bracelet

Oh David are you thinking of me? A wand is nice, but the wand chooses the witch or wizard, so that is a rather personal thing. A real witch might like an altar cloth, or some candles, incense, and herbs. Jewelry is nice, always.

Many local spiritualist stores would offer gift certificates, or like others have suggested: books. On my path, I believe that new items that help me on my way usually find me... so the gift certificate route might be best. However, you giving your witch something from your heart is just one more way to hers.

Books. We love books, journals etc. There are also alot of great ideas at witchy websites. I know that I love Pagan themed jewelry like pentacle necklaces and things. Also witchy tools like Athames, Mortar and Pestles, Pendulums, Tarot Decks, Rune Sets, etc. Lots of stuff. If you are looking for more ideas check out below.

A hug and a willingness to accept them as being just regular people like you. Scented oils are good too.

you know what would be great for a wiccan? a day where you dont spit on their faith, we dont do it to you. We almost got wiped out by monotheism for being devilworshipers.

Ohh and btw, we dont even believe in the devil, let alone worship it, its a BS concept to us.

So yeah, respect would be great.

Something sweet that doesn't imply a bigoted view of his/her religion.

Books, because we tend to be voracious readers.
