“Without the Renaissance, there would’ve been no reformation.”

Well, my class is learning about the Renaissance and reformations... so yeah. I guess that quote is pretty self explanatory. However, I need something to start me up.

I'm just a tad bit confused at the moment.

Or... I need sleep.

Well, I'd appreciate it if someone helped :D

Definitely agree! Before the Renaissance, people only looked to Christianity and Aristotle. They did not question anything. Without the reformists we would not have many wonderful inventions today like modern medicines, computers, cars,.....etc.....

"There is a connection between the Renaissance and the Reformation but historians have had a difficult time defining that connection. Overall, the moral energies and spirit of a St. Bernard was more responsible for the Reformation rather than the critical spirit of a man like Abelard. The reason may be clear: the Reformation was more a movement of faith than it was of reason." The author of that quote would disagree with your original statement. To see the whole article, go to

agree, The renaissance was a time of enlightenment. People began questioning the way things were done for centuries and humanism was becoming very prevelant. This led to the reformation. Had there been no renaissance there would have been no catalyst for the reform
