Carnival lines cater to a younger clientele. Norwegian, Princess, and Holland American have mostly older people travelling.
Take a Caribbean cruise after Nov. 1, when the hurricane season is over. Go on all the various cruise line's websites and request catalogs for the 2007 sailing season. You can book your cruise yourself online instead of using a travel agent with all the cruise companies.
Most of the cruise lines automatically include a $10/day per person gratuity in the onboard expenses... that's $140 per cabin for a 7 day cruise. They divide that among the people who serve you. It is not paid up-front. You can ask at the purser's desk to NOT have the gratuity added to your shipboard charges, and decide to tip the people you know served you well.
Drinks cards are also purchased after you board the ship, not before. These are usually for soft drinks, not alcoholic beverages, and cost about $30 per person/week, depending on the cruise line.
Shore excursions; anything on the Cayman Islands, especially if you like snorkelling or scuba diving! Costa Maya is fairly interesting because of the Maya ruins. The built-for-cruise ships shopping area is quaint but kitschy and expensive. Half a mile's walk down the coast is a wonderful, unspoiled fishing village with on-the-beach restaurants.
Cozumel's snorkelling and diving is some of the best in the world. There's a ferry from the cruise ship to the town. It reminded me a lot of Tijuana, Mexico... busy, crowded, aggressive vendors hawking tourists on the narrow sidewalks, and a lot of traffic. You can get some beautiful crafts, hand blown glass and pottery there if you shop carefully.
I don't know about Passion Island, sorry.
We've travelled on Princess, Norwegian, and Royal Caribbean lines. Princess is our favorite. Oustanding food, great music, decent shows (we don't go to many because we like to dance and scuba dive), internet access... but the caliber of people they employ is awesome. Very helpful, friendly and kind people. Their shore excursions are well planned and guaranteed a good value.
Have fun! Don't forget to tell your cabin steward and the booking agent that you're newlyweds.

I would choose Royal Carribbean, there is not the partying type of crowd like the Carnival Cruise line and the staff is excellent and you can add all the things you want to in your package like the gratuity and drink pass card. If you want a cheap price then take it from November-January.
Good luck and have fun.

A fellow here at the Old Soldiers' Home used to take lots of trips on cargo ships.
It was way cheaper and just as comfortable as a cruise ship, except that you had to go where that cargo ship was going, no matter what destination it might be.
Another resident here at the Old Soldiers' Home took a Caribbean cruise and died in a Virgin Islands hospital after becoming mysteriously ill from an unknown infection on board the ship.

Pablo Cruise did the song Love will come across a manner. I remember the album disguise is blue. I nonetheless like that song. Beats Tom Cruise via a mile. yet a Mediterranean cruise may be quite amazing at present.

i would suggest Royal Carribbean.... its not too expenisve, but much nicer than carnival. You can choose the excursions when you get on the cruise.... but make sure to leave some time to explore the place on your own and eat some local food. have fun!
