Humans are drawn to believe in something outside of themselves for many reasons. In the dark, cold and lonely universe it gives comfort in the night. Ultimate truth is so complex that no one can grasp it. The mind of man seeks but can only find one or two pieces of the puzzle. Then it starts to fill in around the pieces of truth with falsehood because our mind does not like things unfinished. Every religion has both truth and falsehood. When the day comes that we can come together each bringing that piece of the puzzle that hold part of the truth we will see more clearly the Ultimate Truth. The puzzle will never be completed, but it can be understood in part when we let go, open our mind, and come together in respect and trust.

Religion or churches carry on tradition. If you recall Jesus said, to enter the Kingdom of God, you must be as these innocent children, in other words, live by simple faith. You fear things it appears that you can not control and let the unknown things pass you by. People and opinions will always vary and we all can't agree on religion and things that can't be seen or touched. You have a base someplace by your own words here you are inquisitive and studied. If you believe you know the truth, then carry it inside you, we need no set religion, but it is traditional and it would be a more sad world without it, even though it's history is not perfect.

I believe God sends prophets to scatter the seed to bring home those who are ready. I don't belive Satan starts religions. Religions are man made, not God made. Man twists Gods message to suit their own agenda. There is value in all religions because most who follow religion are at least pursuing *something* and trying to find truth. There is no one correct religion ... all paths lead to the same destination. Even Atheism. (That's right! ... even Atheism will eventually lead to the Kingdom of Heaven.)

I think religion was formed because of what people believe. These vary from person to person and change over the years. Religion is probably a way to differentiate beliefs and for some people, be secure about what they feel is right.

For me God is not into Religion - God is into Relatioship
Unless you have that relationship with God , through Jesus, the all the amount of "Religion" that you practise will not help you.
The Bible takes precedent of Church doctrine everytime.

there's everything for everybody..
religions provide guidelines for people who want to spend their quality time on earth. all religions are paths that lead to God.
why waste time thinking which one is the best, which is false.
it doesn't improve your spirituality.
only kindness and gentleness of heart that matters.
