We are both 13.We are in 8th grade.He is my best friend.We share our faiths we have done many school projects as partners.He is religious and as am I.Recently while doing some searching I came across some shocking things.

I mean my faith has always respected Christianity but why the hatred against Hinduism?I wish I never came accross that source.It has scarred me.And with the whole cow thing.We only consider it to be sacred because it has provided resources for man.So it symbloized Earth.Hindu is not polytheistic. Its monotheistic as in 1 god with many incarnations and forms as well as servents from infinite Universes. But does he think I might go to hell?I mean why think that.The whole Hindu moto is to see every religion equally and that all people can go to heaven if they have lived up to human life by seeking a higher understanding.That is considered to be great in my religion.I mean my religion has been arouund for practically 10000 years.We don't believe anyones going to hell.Why does Christianity believe that.I mean its so wrong.Me and my friend share similarities between our religion like both being against gay marriage and stuff like that.Its difficult talking to you best friend and then coming to the reality that he believes I may go to hell.

Some childish people claim that only their religion's followers will go to heaven, there cant be bigger lie than this
God does not care for our religions...he cares for our good karma. If we do good, we are entitled for good results and vice versa
On the contrary Hinduism, does not condemn non-hindus to Hell
Hinduism believes --like all rivers are rushing towards ocean, all religions are taking us towards truth.
Some religions are very agressive in Publicity and spreading misinformation against other faiths...particularly hinduism is the victim of such propaganda.
We hindus should not hate them in return...and just follow our path honestly.

No, Christians do not see you that way.
That website is not a real Christian website. It was made as a joke. Not a very nice joke maybe, but still a joke. It does not reflect any actual Christian group. It does not even reflect the ideas of the people who made it.
I'm pretty sure the people who made that website are not Christians at all, because even a mean insensitive Christian would have a hard time creating something like that, even as a joke.
Hope you feel better now, and I am really glad you asked about this instead of just believing it and becoming bitter.

listen arun, you will come acroos people who just hate other religions because they were born into a specific religion. it's just an accident.it has rarely got anything to do with the religion -more with the person. the best thing is to find out if your friend would hate you and your religion if he were a hindu and you were a christian. if yes , then you know !
you don't have to justify your beliefs when you are a hindu. you come from an unbroken line of hindus which stretches over eons.there are bound to be customs diificult to understand.as such it's upto you and your religion to better your plight and the world's, if possible. after all that's what the religions are supposed to do. not make out other religions to be bad and their own good comparatively!

Your friend is a Christian and loves you for who you are.
I'm a Christian and I have had Hindu friends.
If any Christian gives you a hard time by calling you a polytheist. then remind them of their concept of the Holy Trinity. 3 parts of the same God, allot like Hinduism with their incarnations of the same God.

At the age of 13, looking at your details, you have enough knowledge about Hinduism, pls remember we in Hinduism donot curse any one to Hell or hatred towards other religion. There are some ppl in other religion who spread wrong things about Hinduism and say rubish things. there are nice ppl in other religion as well, so just speak out with your freind, a healthy conversation. That first link isn't serious. It is a parody of a christian web page. It is just making a joke. Thank you for the laugh by the way. Your friend does believe that your religion is wrong and he will try to make you see the light by converting you to christianity. If you do not convert it says in the bible that he is to shun you. Meaning that he shouldn't associate with you anymore, because you will not repent. If he is a faithful christian that is.

There's Christianity and then there's radical Christianity. Your friend most likely isn't a radical Christian if you guys have shared your faiths and he's given you no indication before that he has any problem with Hinduism. So I wouldn't worry if I were you.

Your friend shouldn't let religion beliefs keep you from being friends. That would be really closed minded and ignorant. Gotta talk to him and see how he feels, and you know if he really values your friendship he won't care.

I am christian as well. I'm sorry, I've nothing to say but to send you a bible verse.
Jesus answered. "I am the way and the the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
John 14:6
This verse is saying that you can only go to heaven if you believe in Jesus. Jesus is the only way. Unfortunately, if you don't believe in Jesus, you don't go to heaven and theres only one other place. Unfortunately is hell.
