My husband struggled with this for a long time and the new intensive formula of Head & Shoulders has been working for about six months now. It's about $8 a bottle where we live and in a dark blue bottle. The shampoo itself is an orange color. Good luck!

I have terrible dandruff when the weather starts to get cold and the air dries out. Dandruff shampoos have never worked for me either. I finally bought a shampoo for psoriasis. It's called Dermarest. It cleared up my dandruff with the very first use! It's great stuff. If you're still insistent on not buying another shampoo, Google home remedies for dandruff. I'm sure you'll find something that will help. Good luck. I'm sorry. I think I misunderstood part of your question. I thought that you were saying that dandruff shampoos weren't working for you. But you're talking about just regular shampoo, right? Anyway, try the stuff I suggested. It'll amaze you. I promise.

I used to get dandruff until I put it together that the dandruff was always worse right after I showered, I think I was just washing my hair too often and drying out my scalp, try shampooing less frequently.

do you have dandruff or dry scalp? dry scalp is a skin condition that you have to deal with little will help as far as a dr. can do. dandruff is due to dryscalp in most cases, the shampoos are just a rip off down bother.
the the walmart brand of T-gel its the only thing thats helped me but it smells kinda weird but not as bad as head and sholders.

Don;t shampoo often as it dries out your scalp, try Nizorol shampoo.ometimes a tea tree oil shampoo cleans the scalp
but in some cases will leave the hair oily.
