Robert S , I think you got your history out of a cornflake packet. The jews inflicted major bloodshed on the christian and muslim arabs, and the British administration before the UN passed that resolution in an attempt to stop the killing. The indigenous population were not consulted and the arabs have never accepted it
The Israelis have ignored UN resolutions since then especially 242 which requires them to leave the land they occupied in1967.
There will never be peace in the Middle East until the Palestinians regain their territory..

Sadly, given the ignorance of others... it will have to occur.
I've had people here and in person who ACTUALLY think that Israel started the 1948, Six-Day and Yom Kippur Wars !!
They magically have forgotten that Israel existed in its borders... established by the UN in 1947 by UN General Assembly Resolution 181.
And then after SYRIA, EGYPT, Iraq and Jordan invaded Israel... repeatedly... with the stated goal of wiping Israel off the map... Israel held the Golan Heights and the Sinai as a buffer zone.

It is inarguable that religion is at the very heart of their conflict.
Instead of dividing each other up into petty tribes over petty religious differences, why dont we put more pressure on them intellectually, instead of militaristically. Why dont we ask them to question the very beliefs they hold sacred to them, those beliefs that tell them to kill eachother? Those beliefs being Judaism. Christianity is just an offshoot of Judaism, and is just as guilty.
Someone has to say it, those three monotheistic religions are guilty of so much bloodshed over the centuries, its utterly ridiculous. Human beings as a species must grow up! Lets put to bed the fairy tales, and act like rational adults?! It is time we as a species put to rest those harmful and divisive beliefs that we hold as sacred. Perhaps if those in Israel/Palestine did the same, they would realize how idiotic their entire conflict is.

inarguable by who? the arabs, palestinians and most of the islamic world denies that israel should even exist. so why should they always have to retreat when they are victorious in wars they don't start? they have been trying to appease the arab world for decades and all they get is more of the same sh*t from the arab world. if they win. let them keep what they win! the arabs can just eat camel droppings since they can't do anything better.

Yes. The problems in the Middle East won't be solved until the Pals have thier own state with East Jerusalem as thier capital.
The Israeli-Palestinian conflict is what is partly contributing to the current momentum in the Middle East.
No wonder US policy is so one sided toward Israel.

Yes , they must return what is not theirs to begin with to the right full original owners who are the Palestinians.
Jews should accept the reality and learn to accept that apart from them other people have also suffered and are suffering. Americans are not going to support them in their sad story for ever. Americans are waking up and and coming to their senses and are not going to accept the continuous sob story of the Jews. Grow up and learn to live with the World and share things instead of grabbing everything and holding on to them and try to control wealth in this World which belongs to everybody thus hatred for the Jews. Jews spew anmosity because of their arrogance and stupidity that they are the chosen ones.

i am not sure I understand your question/statement. All I know is that Israel will do whatever it wants. It has a mighty war machine and apparently the unconditional support of the U.S... So, like I say, it will do as it pleases, no matter what cost to anyone, including themselves!
