there are a couple of things that i do. The first thing is to take an anti allergy pill. I usually take benedril. I know this is meant for sinus and stuff but it has worked for me in the past. Anther thing that you could that would be less drastic is to get a warm wet cloth and keep it on your eye for a while. Whatever you do dont use a cold cloth. this will slow the blood flow and can cause further swelling. Also if you have it out some witch hazel on the rag. this is a liquid and if you mother is a nurse she might have some.

First, you need to get rid of the stress that's making you cry or the problem will persist. You can try cucumber slices or teabags (hopefully green tea), or, and this may sound gross, but prepration H reduces swelling in more than just one place, and that's your quickest fix.

chilled cucumber slices..close your eyes and lay these on your eye lids..(soak in a warm tub...ultimate relaxation>..ahh)...
also they have eye gel...kinda expensive but works..but i use the chilled cucumbers....works for me..and pretty much inexpensive..only need 2 slices..can keep in fridge or soak in water then freeze....(may cause headache if too cold).
gel eye masks work well...
