For the best taste and nutrition, it's best to thaw and cook the turkey within 4-5 months after freezing it, but if it's kept in its original wrapping and hard frozen it will be ok for up to a year.

As long as it is frozen, has never been thawed since its initial freezing, and is still in its original vacuum sealed wrapper? I made one a few weeks ago that had been in the freezer for a year. Still tasted good, no one got sick, but that's about as far as I would take it. I have, however, heard of some who have stored them frozen for about 2 years with no ill effects.

Best at 3 to 4 months unless it hasn't been sealed properly, freezer burn happens quickly if the meat itself is exposed. (that's when the meat dries out from the exposure).

You would be pushing it at 6 months, that is the extreme, but I have done it before and it was fine.
