it could be a number of things. first of all probably not cancer, so take a deep breath. it could be something like a little cyst, but most common on puppies is something called a hernia. this is where the abdominal wall has broken down and allowed some of the fat in the abdomen to bubble out. this is usually not life threating as long as it's small. it could be a small cyst also, probably a fatty cyst. you would be best to take her to your vet and have them take a look at her, if it is a hernia a lot of times the vet will wait until her spay (and GOOD for you for having your dog spayed, YAY!) and fix the hernia at that time usually for little or no extra charge. it usually does not have long lasting problems, and heals up and the dog will be fine. if it is a small cyst, same thing. it does not sound life threating, but is worth having the vet take a look at as soon as you get the chance to get the pup there. my guess is it's a small hernia, probably a umbilical hernia, where the umbilical cord was connected, this is very very common in puppies. good luck.

A lump can be many things, from a simple bug bite, to a tick and yes, even cancer. It's a case of better safe than sorry; take him to the vet as soon as possible, just in case it is serious.
In any case, you'd probably find that the vet wouldn't have time to examine the lump, as he'll fix your puppy after all his other appointments - there isn't the same oppurtinity as with a checkup, so you'd really be best making a seperate appointment anyway.

You won't know until you take it to a vet. My dog had a lump in her left leg. The vet removed it and said that it was benign. Six months later, it came back, it was again removed and the test showed that it was malignant. Take your dog to the vet right away. Don't let it get bigger. Hopefully, it won't be anything serious.

My dog had a couple of lumps and they turned out to be fat deposits. However, she's 8. I don't think a puppy should have fat lumps yet unless you're really over feeding her. Call your vet because they might have to deal with the lump before she can be spayed.

It can be many things, but it doesn't sound serious. I would just keep an eye on it and if it is still there the next time you go to the vet, tell them when you are there.

are you sure it is not an umbilical hernia? if it is a puppy, it is highly likely that it is cancerous. it is probably either a fatty lump or an umbilical hernia depending on the exact location. you should probably contact your vet so that you can schedule the additional surgery if you need a lumpectomy or a hernia repair.

Could be a hernia. Don't ever wait a whole month to take your dog to the vet when you suspect a problem.

It could be something, or it could be nothing. The only way you are going to know is to take your puppy to the vet. Call the office and ask for advice. THEY are veterinary professionals. We are not.

I think you should take her now, It could even be a tick embedded under her fur. My dog just had 9 growths removed from him. Maybe you could have her neutered a little sooner and get everything taken care of at once.
