2000 mg vitimin C is by far the best.

Some people swear by Zicam, and Airborn.

At the first sign of a cold, try:

1. Taking an herbal product called "Airborne" 3 times a day. It works for me.

2. Taking an extra 50 to 100mg of Zinc per day.

3. Put 2 to 3 drops of 3% hydrogen peroxide in your ears.

Echinacea, Vitamin C with Rose hips and plenty of fluids as soon as you feel something is not normal. I have successfully defeated 2 colds already this season by taking echinacea (4 times a day, 2 tablets) and as many Vitamin C's as you can tollerate (5000 mg or more). Your body will simply reject any excess Vitamin C. Lots of water. You will probably only have to take this stuff 2 or 3 days at most. Works for me.

There is no way. Symptoms of an infection (even a cold) only come after the infection has occurred. That means that once you fell it coming on you are going to get it. Many people have suggested vitamin C, this will do nothing, sorry. Vitamin C will help your body to adsorb calcium into the bones thereby making the bones stronger and more able to produce white blood cells that will fight an infection, it DOES NOT however help the immune system directly. Take vitamin C now for the next time you get something. The only way to help now would be to try to lessen the symptoms by having plenty of fluids, nitrous meals and plenty of rest. Hope this helps.

1. sleep

2. wash your hands a million times a day

3. take warm baths

4. rub vicks vapor rub on the bottom of your feet and put socks on, then rub some on your chest

5. drink plenty of water. wash the toxins out of your body and stay hydrated.

6. take a daily multi vitamin

7. boost your vitamin c intake . I usually take a few packets of emergen-c (100 plus vitamin c per packet). add water to it..like alka seltzer. there are also vitamin c drops that you can suck on (sold by cough drops). the worst thing if you have too much vitamin c...your body will get rid of it in your poop. So no worries!

Think Healthy! (eat lots of fruits and veggies)

take it easy! cough in your elbow..so not spreading as many germs, carry hand sanitizer and use warm water when washing your hands.

Stay well!

Zycam, Zinc Lozenges, Vitamin C. If you can get Vitamin C from citrus fruit after you consume the fruit, squeeze the skin (wash it first of course). I little bit of citrus oil will come to the surface. Lick it, as it has anti-biotic qualities.

Its too late, viruses are generally incubating for a few days before you feel anything. All you can do is take some vitamins, dont run yourself into the ground working/playing too hard and dont stress. This will at least reduce the length of time your ill for.

I've heard that Zicam works really well if you use it at the onset of a cold.
