To regret is to mourn, or feel sorry for an action, or to miss.
ie. Tom was "regretful" of the argument he had with Sarah.

To disappoint is to fail to meet a hope or expectation.
ie. Amy was "disappointed" with her results on the test.

John was disappointed he failed the test, and regretted his lack of study.

No, they're not the same. Regretting something, be it your actions, or someone elses is different from being disappointed in those actions. To regret means, you wish it happened differently, or not at all. Being disappointed means you've been let down, you expected more, but got less. hope that helps

Regretful means: sorry that something happened.

Disappointed means: what happened did not meet expectations

Example:
The team was disappointed that it did not make the playoffs. John was regretful that he did not give 100% for the entire game.

No, not at all. You regret something you may have done that you could have done different. Your disappointed in results from which you had know control.

nope- regret is feeling bad about an action you did or didn't do/say, disappointment is usually out of your control and you feel it when something doesn't turn out the way you want

Regretful implies that you did something wrong, which you regret...dissappointed usually occurs when something is out of your control. Hope this helps :o)

Regrate is when you do something then later feel bad about it, kind of remorse while Dissapoint is when get unexpected results which are negative. They are similar in that they really make you feel bad and lousy but different.
