Ok, this is probably a little confusing, but anyways; a few days ago I was pretty much set on breaking up with my boyfriend, so when another guy asked me for my number, I gave it to him. The next day my boyfriend shows up with my favorite flowers, and a really sweet letter, saying how sorry he was, and how misrible he would be without me. I forgave him and didn't tell him that I had planned on breaking up with him, and had given my number out. Now the guy I gave my number to (and I talked to for a couple hours on the phone too) keeps calling and asking me out. He has no idea I have a boyfriend, and he is really sweet, how can I tell him kindly, that when I gave him my number, I still technically had a boyfriend, and that we are still together. I hate to hurt people, so I want to do this in the nicest possible way, he really seems to like me.

Honesty is the best policy. Tell him now before he gets serious and falls in love with you. He will appreciate it for sure; no-one likes to be in a situation like that one. I don't believe he'll get hurt; he doesn't know you - he's not used to you. Besides, you need to have your mind set up and not being worried about what has happened. It isn't your fault that you still care for your boyfriend and that this other guy is interested. Good luck.
