Have his teeth cleaned at the vet before his teeth start falling out! I took my 9 yr old chi in for a teeth cleaning bcuz of bad breath and they also pulled 5 teeth. Then dont feed him grain based foods and NEVER human foods like breads and crackers! . Also have him chew tendon chew sticks which my chihuahuas can chew for hours. I get mine at Trader Joes. Break them apart for smaller size.

take your dog to the vet. dogs like people need regular dental cleanings. bacteria can accumulate on the teeth causing an odor. also the bacteria can get into their blood streams and over time cause damage to the heart, liver, kidneys and other organs. chihuahua's have very small mouths and often need dental attention early in life. good luck

My Chihuahua loved to play tug of war! I put Mouthwash on a washcloth and played tug of war! Worked well, for at least a few hours!

I have a 4yr old chihauhua who used to have this problem. And due to his size he could eat most doggie treats. I found these treats in the grocery store called white bites. They have baking soda so it neutralizes the order from their stomache. and they have a petite size for the llil doggies.and I have to say they work great.

Well, there are new "doggie mints" that you can give to your dog. But, I suggest carrots. Carrots naturally help with the bad breath.
Good luck!

i would suggest maybe altering his diet, and there are these little dog bones that i give my dog called "greenies", if that brand does not suite you, then try "brushables". also if you give your dog baths, or if you vet does, next checkup have you vet clean your chiuahua's teeth, the plaque removal will help with getting rid of the odor. hope i helped!
