No, it is not true. Having an orgasm will not make you period start any sooner. What may happen, is that blood that has already been expeled by your uterus but has not made it all the way out of you vagina yet, will be pushed out. This is not changing your cycle at all, it is just sorta flushing out the system.

actually I am not sure if I believe that this is true. I think it is coincidence that this happens as it has happened to me before as well. I was reading on this subject and it says that when you orgasm your uterus contracts and then that alone can cause you to start your period because what that does is stimulate your uterus by causing contractions that move the blood out of your uterus like every month. I have heard that sex can actually slow or stop a period though too.

Im not sure if its a normal or true thing, but this also happens to me all the time, even if my period is due like 2 or 3 days later i always get it the next day.

Orgasms induce menstruation? Maybe it's just a coincidence. For someone who has frequent orgasms it wouldn't make a difference but for someone who has orgasms a day before their menses I would prefer to believe that it's the menses that makes orgasms easier to acheive... hormonal thing? You get a little more "frisky" just before?

Sorry but until I got on Yahoo answers, I never realized how much women talked about periods. Stop it.

I believe it's true. It's happened to me several times. And for me it seemed to allieviate my cramps.
