just ask him before he leaves. it would hurt alot more if he leaves anhd u are kept wondering if he ever liked u. good luck and happy holidays

move on.... liking someone is different than already having a past with them and being deeply involved in a relationship... you will end up liking some one else, do not worry

Well, you should find out who he interest with..liking dosen't apply that he is love with your friend, it could be friction.
