You should not have plead guilty. Telling you to give up is a standard police interrogation technique to ellicit confessions.

You need a lawyer ASAP. I am guessing that you've been accused of stealing money from the old lady by forging documents/checks and such? Better get your bank statements in order. Are you on good terms with that old lady's family? Is the old lady forgetful? So on and so forth. Again, need a LAWYER ASAP!

It is not good to confess to police, but you will go to court & can plead not guilty. Ask for a public defender & they will have you fill out papers to prove you can not afford your own attorney. Then the attorney will handle looking at "proof". If she is 88, there may just be a mistake on her part. They will give your attorney copies of all checks they say you have forged & he will handle it. Do not plead guilty in court if you are innocent. Good luck!

You need a lawyer, not Yahoo Answers.
Police don't generally charge people unless there is some kind of evidence against you. You need to get disclosure from the crown attorney to find out what it is. If you don't have money you should be eligible for legal aid.

Don't plead guilty ask for a lawyer in the U.S. if you cannot afford it hey will appoint someone you have the right to a defense. and a lawyer will make sure that your rights don't get trampled on any more that they already have
before your case starts tell the judge that you don't have a lawyer and you want one they should postpone until you have a lawyer
Good luck

Your first court appearance will be the arrainment, where the charges will be read, and you should plead not guilty, and request a public defender attorney. If you can afford an attorney, get one, you are going to need to get a hand writing signature expert, etc.

being that this is your first time being arrested..(my nephew was arrested for forgery)..your plea of guilty is no good at the police station..the judge will ask you guilty or not..and even if you are found guilty..you will get probation restitution and a fine..i guarantee you..hope this helps

Do they have any hard evidence on you? You said you were (Accused). So there might not be any hard evidence. But if you already pleaded guilty at the precinct I don't know what to tell you. What I would do is pray to God about it. He will get you through it. I hope i helped in some way.

talk woth a public defender. looks like there is good proof that you may have done something wrong. usually a arrest, or a warrant means that there is probable cause for an arrest.

You have not plead guilty in court, though they can use your statement against you! Good luck in prison. Let us know when you get out!
