If you didn't have these feelings, then I would question if you ever really did love him. It's totally normal to still have strong feelings for someone you're not with anymore, but it's up to you to not make it an obsession and get back to loving YOU for a change. Fill your life with fun things you enjoy-go clubbing with friends, write poetry, read books. Get back to enjoying your own company and you'll notice in no time you'll be over him and back to your old self again.
One book that helped me get over an especially hard break-up was Iyanla Vanzant's 'In The Meantime'. It actually has a beautiful self-empowering soundtrack too, with artists like Faith Evans, Maxi Priest, Mary J. Blige and tons more. Try it, you'll like it. Good luck!

I'm in this same situation too and I try to tell myself that the only way I'll ever let him go is when I know there is someone else in his life. Until then, he's just stuck in my head. Does going out with other guys help? Sure. But I tried that too and let me say that I was always wishing it were him. So if you're in love then I say don't give up, not much you can do about him being in your head all the time. If you honestly think it won't work out, try to move on with your life and occupy your time with LOTS of activities. Hey, it helps.

You'll never forget him, but going out with other people will lessen the impact he has in your life. Before you know you'll be so embarass about this time when you couldn't do anything without him haunting your head.

You never forget people that you've loved. Thoughts of them will keep coming back to you forever.

Miss Lady, that is such a hard question, but you will always think of that person and it will hurt, and you will miss them greatly. The only thing that truly helps is time. As it passes you will find yourself being less and less involved with those feelings

if you love him he's always going to be apart of you and that part of you will always love him you just have to find someone else who means just as much to you. you might never get over him but you'll be able to deal with it better as you learn how to deal with the emotion

when U see him in your head, just try to look at him very careful. when he is in your heart, just smile and keep his in there. Do that for long time, U will accept him but won't want him any more
