I wrote an email to a guy that I had a casual love-type relationship with, telling him that I had overcome a diet pill addiction, in order for him to open up to me about things. I know he has stressed his concern about his own addiction before (chewing tobacco) to me, and I sorta mentioned that to him in the email, just so that it would be something else for us to talk about, since I never really talked about problems I had. Well I haven't heard from him, which isn't entirely unusual, but I'm wondering if he thinks that revealing my problem turned him off? Would a guy be weirded out by this? Just curious.

No, your attempt to share something about you was pretty smooth. It wasn't something embarrassing and it does seem to give him an opportunity to open up about himself.

Maybe he's just not into writing. I've known the most talkative girl out there yet quite monotonous and boring when ti comes to expressing herself in writing.

Well, it's really hard for most guys to reveal certain secrets that have, especially to girls. I know from experience. As it being too much info, I'm not sure. If you guys are good friends then I don't think he will mind but I don't know what goes inside the typical male mind. Hopefully he won't be turned off to what you said!

Well according to all the teen magazines I read in HS, guys get totally 'weirded out' when women talk about dieting and their weight---so tread lightly.

not really but if he is this shallow with a response to something that you opened up about that he really isn't worth your time. you have to realize that some people isn't as opened minded as you

He shouldn't be, unless he's just shallow.
