You can apply for citizenship after 5 years of residency.

If you got your green card through marriage, you can apply for citizenship after 3 years of getting your GC, if you got it any other way you have to wait 5 years, there are other circumstances where you can apply earlier if you have the requirements. For more info. go to USCIS.GOV.

i believe that it is ten years unless you are married to a u.s. citizen.
