I have waited patiently for it to go away, but it has persisted for over a month now. The doctor put me on antibiotics for upper respritory infection and while taking them my throat felt fine, but now that the antibiotics are gone the sore throat is back. I already plan on going back to the doctor, but I can't find anything on this kind of symptom...other than the sore throat I have had headaches and my tmj seems to be acting up... any information is appriciated.

Thanks and Merry Christmas

A few years ago i had a similar problem that got so bad that i could not even swallow my own saliva , it hurt so bad i thought my bone fusion in my neck had some how come loose and was rubbing on the back of my throat . The doctor at the emergency room could not find anything , no redness , no infections , no loose bones floating in my neck . as a last resort he gave me some very strong antibiotics and two days later it was gone and never returned , i found out later it was from an ear infection ,(inner ear ) but the strange part was nothing showed up on any blood tests or anywhere else . If the antibiotics worked see the doctor again and let him know the exact symptoms and such .Let him know that the antibiotics worked just came back after the pills were gone .

Do you still have your tonsils? They may need to come out...
