The baby who was set to be Jesus had to bail at the last minute and now I feel morally obligated to fulfill the role since I'm blond and blue eyed.

From someone who looks surprisingly like Jesus may have looked in His days on this earth... foot-long locks, beard, and all (e-mail me for a picture), my answer would be this:

1) A question: Did someone ASK you to participate in the reenactment?

2) A suggestion: If you REALLY think that you're qualified to portray Christ because you have blonde hair and blue eyes, then PLEASE do some research on how people of that period actually looked (You may just find that He looked slightly different from how the Catholic Church depicts Him).

3) A request: PRAY about it! Don't do anything outside of God's will. It's ultimately His play for His glory, so ask Him if you should do it (that is, if your church has already approached you about doing it).

Honestly, there's nothing wrong with you assuming the role of Jesus in the play. We are all descendants of Adam (another speaking spirit), who was created in the image of God; so we're all family. All Believers are brothers and sisters of Christ and joint-heirs with Him as fellow children of God.
Anyway, in the spirit of Christmas, it's less about how He looked and ALL about what He did!

To God be the glory!

You should not feel morally obligated to play the part of Jesus. It should be something from your heart. Besides, I don't think Jesus had blond hair and blue eyes, he was Jewish.

Who said Jesus was a blue eyed blonde ? Chances are at that time, in that part of the world, most people had dark or red hair and brown eyes. They were also short....possiblly dark skinned.

Actually, you're probably the worst person for the job if you have blue eyes and blond hair. No offense, but Jesus wouldn't have looked like that. He was from the East, he would have been dark, probably with dark brown or black hair and dark brown eyes.

well the bible says nothing about Jesus having blue eyes and blond hair, in fact he was a Jew and they mostly have dark brown or black hair and dark eyes. also that's not the most important thing if you don't know enough about Jesus to think he was a blue blond I don't think you are worthy of the part at all.

If they ask you to, sure why not? I am not sure that Jesus was a blonde blue eyed person though. I believe differently, but hey, to each their own.

I know of the terrible rudeness of answering a question with a question, but how do you know he had blonde hair and blue eyes? If you can't answer this then no you shouldn't do it.

Why you?
With Jesus' Mediterranean, Jewish, Semite heritage, it's doubtful that He was blond haired and blue eyed.

(Ooops! I forgot. It really IS all about you, isn't it.)
