I have 16 month old twins. I can't get them to leave their clothes on. I've tried putting clothes (and diapers) on backwards. I have layered her onsies over her pants. I have tried overalls and put them on backwards. That seemed to work until her sister learned how to undo the buttons and now she helps her to take off her clothes. Help!!!

We had problems with this at night, so we started dressing my daughter in feety pajamas that zip all the way up to her chin. Then we put a safety pin through the zipper and the cloth so she couldn't unzip. Good safety pins are wonderful for this sort of thing. Good luck! Take comfort in knowing it's probably just a phase that will pass!

This is a completely normal phase of growth. They are learning to dress themselves. Undressing is the easy part. They run around stark naked to pee you off. So, when they undress, say wow you took your clothes off! I am proud of you that you learned to do that. Let's see if you can put them on. Teach them with elastic waist pants and tshirts to start they are easiest. Pick up one of those dolls with the zippers, buttons, and ties....and maybe a book about getting dressed.

I had to duct tape my sons diapers on. They are so hard to get off you almost need scissors. I didn't worry to much about him taking his clothes off...it was all just a phase.

Just let them. Very small children hate to wear clothes. Only if it's cold or if you're out and about. If you're at home or with family, it's no biggie.

As long as you are at home and she's not cold or peeing on the floor, etc., I wouldn't worry about it. This too shall pass.
(But if it doesn't by 3 yrs old/preschool time, I would ask my ped. MD about sensory-integration disorder.)

Try pull-ups instead of diapers.
