Can it get to the point where someone sinned so much that they can't be forgiven? That no matter how much times they ask for forgiveness, its hopeless? God said he will have compassion on whom he will.

God is a merciful and loving God. He'll forgive anything...As long as you mean it with all your heart.

We are living under the Grace dispensation,we have an advocate with the Father that we can be forgiven for our sins.No where in the bible does it say anything about sinning to much...It only says that God would not always strive with man,but that means some day when our time on earth is over. There is only One unforgivable sin that is meationed in the Bible, and you havent done that or you wouldnt be asking that question, you would be so vile and so deep in sin that you wouldn,t even care ,and you would not even care if he forgave you or not....Yes god gives compassion on him he will,he wills to give all of us compassion....you are dealing with a loving God,and as long as you are sorry for youe sins he will continue to forgive you even as you would your own child....God loves us with a much deeper love than we as humans are uncapable of....dont ever let anyone tell you that God will not forgive you....Thats the biggest trick that the enemy uses on us.He tries to make us feel like we are so bad that god won,t forgive us,when you feel like that just simply say"Get behind Me satan for you are a liar"" god Bless

A truly repentent sinner, calling on God for forgiveness, will not be cast out if they come to the Father in the name of His son. No matter what you do, you can always ask God for forgiveness. However, there is a fine line between sinning and asking forgiveness, and playing fast and loose with God's grace (i.e., having an attitude of, I'll do what I like and ask for forgiveness later). Don't forget, God is not mocked; what a person sows, he will reap. God can see our hearts, He sees the difference between the truly sorrowful sinner, and the person only making "lip service", but then gleefully going out and sinning again.

Can your child sin against you too many times and no longer be your child? No. Someone above answered that we are to forgive 70 x 7 times but that's in human terms. Your question implies to me that you're struggling with a sin and want to stop but can't. If this is the case, then I would also venture to say you are a born-again christian struggling with this sin, or else you are close to becoming one. But know this, as long as you have the heart to please Jesus Christ, and to say sorry to Him when you mess up, this is a good thing. It's the people who sin and don't care if they hurt God that should worry.

If my hunch is correct, and you are a born-again believer, remember that God said he would never leave you or forsake you. Never is a very long time. Therefore, even if He did send one of his children to hell, He'd have to be there right with him or her according to His word (doesn't make sense). HOWEVER, if you are not a born-again believer (John, chapter 3), you'll have to pay for your own sins without Christ on your side.

So how does one become a born-again believer?

"Jesus, I am a sinner. Please forgive me of ALL my sins and be my Lord and Savior. Amen.".

It's that simple. You don't even need to go to a church to pray it.

You may have the surprise of your life. If you spend a good time reading the Bible, there is a part there where one of the Prophets have asked God why a certain Annointed One have not been forgiven. This annointed one was even promised that as long as GOD recognizes his lineage to David, God will always have space in His heart for fogiveness. And yet, God had been so far away from his calling. The biggest surprise you will find is unbelieveable. If you have the wisdom now, then try hard to learn to understand..www.thename.ph....................

The only sin that wont be forgiven is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, as long as you are truly sorry and repnt and know Jesus Christ as your Saviour you will be forgiven. However those that "Truly love me will obey my teachings" John 14:23. If we truly love the Lord as we should, we do not want to keep sinning again and again and again...we get tired of being convicted.

NO!
however, the process for such people who come close to such as sinning the one unforgiveable sin is a long hard road to complete.
there is a process of repentance and sanctification, and being justified by faith. restoration must be applied in many things and the hearts of people must have healing for the more severe crimes.
but Jesus said: Though your sins be Red as scarlet, they will be made White as snow.
it is also written that if someone is blessed by the light and sins against the light they cannot be forgiven. but others have disputed this. Jesus clearly says that If you are in the hands of the Father, No one can take you out of them.

One sin is too much. But your last sentence answers the question. God has forgiven and restored the worst of sinners.

Sin too much - no. Oldguy63 is right! Yes, God does have compassion on whom he wills. Seems like a contradiction, but it really isn't.
