If a good friend of mine lied to me, but later came out and confessed , should I still be cautious about my friend? He isn't the person TO lie, and I know it wasnt meant to hurt me, but the fact that he did it made me upset. Trust him again or drop him?

Everyone makes mistakes. Have you ever lied to someone you cared about and then fessed and been forgiven? If he lied and wasn't doing it to be hurtful and then confessed and apologized, and he is really your friend give him a chance. Let him know up front though that you did feel your trust was broken and that you still want to be friends but that it takes time to rebuild trust.

Trust him again & still remain friends. Give him some credit for confessing. It's very rare that any friend would come clean about a lie he or she told. Usually people will just go on & try to get away with it. This friend must really care about your feelings if he confessed. especially if he isn't the person to lie & it wasn't meant to hurt you. It's okay, you can give him another chance, but let him know how you feel & that you don't want it happening again.

If he's never lied to you before, and it wasn't a lie that hurt you in anyway, I wouldn't drop him. It's always hard to trust someone that's lied to you, but I don't believe the relationship is ruined over one lie.

Trust is fragile and whilst violated, may be very complicated to regain. Trust performs a key function in each and every area of our lives, since believe is the linchpin for all our relationships-household, university, church, paintings, and neighborhood. Certainly all of us have requested such questions, peculiarly after feeling the pointy blade of harm within the violation of our believe. But it turns into more and more complicated for us to run clear of the disorders if we are hoping to reside a fruitful lifetime of enjoyable paintings and relationships. If we most effective seem at the floor, we marvel why we could believe any individual... The danger is just too top, the soreness too exceptional. Why take the danger... I suppose with ANY courting, believe will likely be violated since people don't seem to be infallible. People will harm you. that's an automated "given" in any individual's lifestyles. What you first ought to do is inform the Lord approximately your harm. Give it to Him. And, ask God to aid you forgive that man or woman. You might ought to distance your self from that man or woman for a whilst simply to take the threshold off of the emotional soreness and allow God paintings on remedy. If it occurs to be your partner or any one you reside with at all times, it can be greater to get it out within the open or even present counseling if the harm is deep sufficient. Proverbs three:five & 6 says to "Trust within the Lord with your entire middle and lean to not your possess information; in your entire methods recognize Him and He will direct your paths". Whomever we believe with all our middle is certainly whom we entrust with our very lives. First believe God, then love others. Loving brings believe, however there will likely be backward steps in any realtionship as opposed to our courting with God. I bet after we believe God inside our relationships, he'll aid you via the days whilst any one else violates your timeless believe in them.

Speak to him about it. It depends what he was telling a lie about. If it was a good lie, then he is a keeper but if it was a bad lie, you need to be careful.
