Since neither can protect children from a fractured family any greater than the other, what advantage is there to living in a Christian home over a non-Christian home?

Is it okay to ask you this question first? How do you define Christians in the context of your question?

The reason why "Christians" divorce is because of their slipping faith in God, who in the first place, should be the reason of the couple being together.

Christians should not depend on themselves in finding the perfect lifetime partner. They should leave it up to God. If these people let God plan and choose for them, their marriage would not be down by the rocks.

Children being raised in the Christian family have better "perceptions" than others. The world may see a similarity between the coping mechanism of the children that it dares to ask the question above, there really is none. Children raised in a Christian family, and by Christian I hope that your meaning is the same as mine, children have better understanding of the situation (if ever divorce occurs despite the prayers and faith) and still feel secured and well-loved in the family because they have been taught that whatever predicament or detrimental issue arrives in the family, there is always someone greater who in one way or another will help and keep them. This principle will guide the children through growth and development.

Hebrews 35.

If they divorce it probably will not be much better than any other home. If they had learned to relay on God they may be able to deal with the situation better, but they may end up blaming God instead of understanding Karma which is what they would learn if they where raised in a Christian Essene Home read the Gospel of the Nazirenes Restored with historical documentation by Alan Wauters and Rick Van Wyhe. This is the original New Testament before king Constantine change everything to do with Karma, Reincarnation, Vegetarianism. go to gospelofthenazirenes. for complete details.

A Christian home that wants to act like a real Christian home will abide by this: "Therefore a man shall leave his mother and father and be joined to his wife and the two shall become one flesh. What God has joined together let no man separate." It is terrible that a couple would prattle on about being Christians and then shred the fundamental human relationship given by God. A committed Christian would therefore not get a divorce. A committed non-believer is not constrained by any such rule.

Sadly, many Christians haven't disciplined themselves, and this results in the higher divorce rate. If Christians obeyed God, they would be patient before getting married, and when they did, accept that divorce was not an option except in cases of infidelity, which hopefully wouldn't happen, since both partners are to satisfy each other sexually, or abuse. Other than that, they need to honor their commitment to one another as a commitment with God as well.

If Christians did this, then divorce wouldn't happen within the Christian community.

It's not being a "Christian" that makes a difference but living like a Christian. If in Christian homes we raise our children like anone else, then we can't really expect different results, can we?

There are so many different variations of "Christians" ...from loose terms to legalistic..those who are getting divorced are probably not true Christians, because if you love the Lord with all of your heart, soul and mind, you try to do what is pleasing and this includes NOT divorcing. If you are following God's will for your life, you are probably with the person you are suppose to be. To divorce them would be following YOUR will for your life not God's

Simple: It isn't. Religion doesn't make a good home, good parents do, regardless of creed.

I have NEVER heard of non-Christians teaching children to chop people's heads off...what the hell kinda statement is that?

Hmm. Could it be that having a Christian value system rather than NOT is better for the child? Especially if the divorce factor wasn't present.

Christians who get divorced except as Jesus outlined are not Christians anymore. They have openly defied Jesus and his teachings.

They are re-writing the Bible.

They are saying they know BETTER than Jesus.

I don't know what it makes them, but they are NOT followers of Jesus.
