get real about real life things. this can be good practice for you. ask directt questions and wait for an answer. tell her you really want to know how she thinks and feels about things...her biology class, her grades, football, her family.... you can also startm w/small questions and tell her you will each take a turn to learn about each other and that you both agree to answer honestly... even if it is a fear... Only when you build good communtication will any relationship work. a relationship does not grow because of physical attraction ... it grows because of the quality charactor of ones mind. You can even tell her this last statement and let her know you really like her and that you really want to understand who she is and for her to understand you. Remember also... if you learn of each other and decide you are not compatable... this is OK too. Because in life you must be honest with yourself and your needs to make a great future and become a respectable and good man who will one day make somebody a great husband. She is learning to do the same...become a good woman.

You can even talk about the smallest things like a song you heard on the radio that you liked or something.
You can ask her what she's doing right now.
Ask her where she is.

Talk to her about her interests, her dislikes, what she wants to do when shes 30, if she has any travel plans, destinations shes always wanted to go, use your brain, shes your girl!
