Offhand I'd say take a pic with a digital camera, then send the candy maker a detailed email of where you bought it, the city, etc. You can look up the information on the web and probably go straight to their home page. They'll probably either refund your money or send you something else for your trouble. The last thing any business wants is bad publicity.

Also, for future reference, I received an email once saying that in a person's lifetime, they would have eaten "x" number of insect parts, worms, etc. from candy bars. I originally thought it to be a joke, but after thinking about it a bit, how can any company really keep out EVERYTHING from their product, like a fly that happens in to their HUGE factories and no one notices. Made me do a double take on how much chocolate I consume, and I'm a chocoholic.

Oh so gross. No don't throw it away, but wrap it all and take it back to the store and also call the maker of it and hopefully you can show this. Take pictures if you can. At a local store I bought some grapes. Sealed on the clear wrapper. My little girl was getting some out to eat and yelled for me. I found a spider that had made a nest. This was a strange looking one and the nest was a cocoon looking nest not a web. I took it back and took pictures. This was creepy for me so I can't even think of seeing a worm in candy. I love chocolate too!

Same thing happen to a friend of mine, few years ago. She took it back to the store, and told the manager what she had found( she put it in a small bag w/ the worms). He said yeah so what do you want me to do, so another friend told her to call the company that made the chocolate...Long story short a few weeks later, i kid you not the company sent her SOOOOOOOOOOOOO many flipping driffrent chocolate bars, omg she had chocolate to last her in to the next century.

What else did u intend to do my dear ??
Dissect the worm or what ??
Secondly, why not complain to the manufacturer??
Give them the batch no. & manuf. date . U just might get a replacement, which u can enjoy --- without a worm.

Throw it away....insects and vermin don't come in edible food.
(if it's newly opened and you know where it came from, have a reciept, take it back to the store.)
