I haven't had that..but I've seen on shows like ANTM(America's Next Top Model) one of my fave shows and it looks like it hurts really bad but it hurts for a few seconds only, it looks like. But you really need to think "Do I really need it" , before you do it.

The Brazilian wax is the cutting edge bikini wax for women. It gives you the smoothest tush, labia majora, and mons pubis that you can get. It's way better than shaving this sensitive area and when the hair grows back it's softer, less stubbly, and less itchy. Some women say it just makes them feel cleaner.
There is some confusion as to exactly what the Brazilian wax is and isn't. To get all this bikini wax jargon figured out I called and spoke with the Director of Skin Deep-The Body Spa. She was really fun to talk to! I've taken the liberty of substituting my own terminology which I hope is not too offensive to the reader, but hey, why beat around the bush. We have a need to know this information. Here's the skinny:
Technically speaking there are four types of bikini waxes.
The Bikini Wax - Hair is removed from outside the panty line.
The Brazilian Bikini Wax - Leaves a vertical stripe in front, two to three fingers in width. Hair is not removed from the labia. Hair is removed from the tush. Hair may be removed from the butt crack if woman wishes.
The Playboy Bikini Wax - All hair is removed from the labia, all hair is removed from the tush, including the butt crack and only a very narrow strip is left in the front. Named after Playboy magazine because that's what you see on the models in Playboy.
The Full Bikini Wax - It's all taken off baby. Everywhere. Everything. Bald.
Waxing your behind will hardly hurt at all. You can carry on a pretty normal conversation. Then doing the front, the mons pubis. That smarts. Next, she starts between your thighs and she warns that the wax will feel warmer on your labia. The wax is the same temperature the whole time, it just feels a little warmer when applied to this sensitive part of the body.
Then you take a deep breath and let it out, and at the top of your exhale she rips. OH MOMMA! She plucks a few that don't come out. A good tip is to hold the skin very taut where she waxes. It helps a lot by making it less painful and more efficient at the same time.

Omg! Brazillian wax is the best thing to ever happen to us females. Don't be afraid, let them try different waxes on you first. Then choose the one that doesn't make it hurt alot. Sugar wax works best for me. Also, they spray a numbing spray first, it's not that numbing that you wont feel anything, but it works. Don't be scared of the experience. It won't hurt alot because of the bone right underneath. I thought it would hurt AlOT. But it doesn't at all really. The thing to be scared about is getting naked, that was the scariest part for me. But once it starts, you'll be fine. It's the best thing really! Enjoy!

What...and razor bumps don't hurt? The first one hurts the worst, but lasts for like a month. Trim your hair fairly short, don't leave it all long and curly. They should have you pull your skin taught when they do it. In subsequent visits you will barely feel it, the hair just starts falling out with the wax. Its awesome!

Yes it hurts. To prevent ingrowns you can wash with a salycilic wash after.
You can use generic vagisil with 20% benzocaine to numb the area. You can bring it to your appintment in case your esthe doesnt have numbing spray on hand.
It will be less painful if your hairs are trimmed to about 1/4 of an inch.

It does hurts but its worth every bit....don't be scared, you'll love the results....sometimes it hurts to be hair-free, and us brazilians can vouch for that one....enjoy your freedom after the wax.
good luck

They use a numbing gel, but you still feel it. To me it was no more painful that plucking my eyebrows.

No, it's not that bad.
Most estheticians use a numbing gel which helps.
