Nowadays, fewer women cook and most are quite agressive in their pursuit of what they want. A lot of women are also loud, obese, and trashy (e.g., Britney/Paris/Lindsay/the new Miss America).
Are more men attracted to other men than in the past because of this? Are men more sincere and more sensitive and more into "love" versus materialism/confidence etc... that women fancy?

oh my, aren't we misguided, strong women don't make guys gay. being gay makes them gay.
i think that they might feel threatened by a powerful woman, only because they aren't 'supposed' to be that.
men still want a woman to cook, clean, and make babies, i am not in any way a feminist, but, we can do all of that and still be more.

It's not that more men are gay. it's that more gay men & women are choosing to "come out the closet". We live in a world of reality shows where people would do anything for 15 mins of fame. It's not like the 50s,60s, or 70s when men were told to be men & you was a sisy if you showed your feelings. Back then women wre treated unfairly & the man was the boss. women relized the only way to to be treated equal was to be aggressive & take their rights. Problems where handled in house & family secrects was kept in families. And you have your men & women of the 21 century.Sorry so long you could speak on this topic for days. The most important thing for you to remember is that it was not your fault. He was the adult. He is the responsible one. Is it too late to tell your family. Do not have anything to do with him. The adult always makes the child feel badly. It is important that you get counseling. It will help you deal with this. There are groups of men who get together to discuss their child abuse and learn NOT to do it to another child. Forget about the whys. You can not figure out why someone did something evil. Forget about the guilt. He was the guilty party. Forget feeling sorry for him. He had a choice to do what he did. He made the wrong choice. Forget about why you might have been targeted. You were available. It is time for YOU to get healthy, to really like yourself, to get past all those bad memories. Take care of yourself. I don't know where you get your ideas but more men are not gay. It is simply more accepted than it was years ago so more are open about it. As for your idea that fewer women cook and are loud and trashy....etc...you watch too much tv. The lack of logic you are using makes it clear you need to be better informed.

It's not that more men are gay, it's just that they're more accepted than ever before in the past. In the past, men were more likely to hide their sexuality because it was a huge taboo. Nowadays that wall is coming down (slowly, but it's happening a little). Just like women and their place in society.... and just like different races...
Oh, and the fact that gay men are gay to begin with, women don't "turn" them gay...

Guys go for what guys go for. There isn't more gay guys because women are acting more butch. Guys may not be attracted to fat, mouthy broads, but that doesn't mean that they are giving up and starting to check out guys. Guys might just need to look a little harder to find the girls they like.
You really need to get to know gay people to figure out why they are the way they are, so you don't come up with these crazy ideas, Seeker.

I am not gay will never be gay and do not understand why men are gay. The old joke goes that if you listen to a Jewish woman from New York, it could send you over the edge. I live in Vegas and sometimes hear them in the casinos and laugh a little. Not a Jew hater at all but I understand the joke.

I have absolutely no scientific proof to back this up, but I think that, if there are more gay people on the planet than there used to be it might be because we've over populated the planet so severely. Maybe this is mother natures way of reducing the number of procreating couples.
This is one that I don't think you can pin on us chicks though, since homosexuals are born that way. There is scientific proof of that.

One reason more men are gay is because they were raised by single moms and did not have strong male role models. Also, psychologists have noted lately that testosterone levels have fallen from generation to generation and they are not sure why this is occurring. Another pressure is that the western cultures and especially America are becoming overly feminized. To understand this only requires to review movies 20 30 or 40 years ago and compare the male role model to today. While stronger, more aggressive women and those in pursuit of careers probably have nothing to do with being gay, these other factors play significant roles.

no its more accepted today to be gay and thats why they are gay. Women being equal has little to do with homosexuality its more of the publics ok for this lifestyle.
