To see how many souls can be enticed by Satan's cruel deception.

The Mass of Christ. This is not Christian in origin and has nothing to do with the Savior of the World. It is given to Christianity through Roman Pagan Constantine (former ruler of Rome). Because he wanted to become a Christian he brought both a little of Christ and a whole lot of his religion which was Sun Worship together in order to bring both the followers of Christ and the worshipers of the Sun together. Centuries before Christ was born Pagan worshipers celebrated the birthday of the sun on December 25. They brought trees into their homes because they thought that their sun god was reincarnated threw it. They used candles to light the tree and thought that their god would be able to see it then. Holly and other main stream religious items also followed this Pagan tradition for the worship of the sun. Oh, by the way God Almighty says: "Do not worship your God the same way the Pagans worship their gods." Deut 12:4
So do not act like the people in Egypt, where you used to live, or like the people of Canaan, where I am taking you. You must not imitate their way of life. Le 18:3

"When you arrive in the land the LORD your God is giving you, be very careful not to imitate the detestable customs of the nations living there. De 18:9

Something to think about the next time someone says "Merry Christmas" to you.

God Bless You

Christ's mass was the remembrance of the last supper.
But Christianity wasn't very popular in the first centuries, so Christians adapted the Sun's day and started celebrating the birth of the Son and adopted the festivities that came with it.

I sent out Solstice cards this year, that tried, while being respectful of other beliefs, told a bit about what I am celebrating. Here is what they say:

As the never-ending circle of the seasons continues, mirrored by our lives, the sun reaches his lowest point on the horizon, and, for a moment, time stands still.

Born again, he asserts himself, taking charge of the lengthening days. The dark days of winter begin to grow longer and we know that the springtime promise is only a season away.

I wish for you this season that hope will rest in your heart, that your eyes will focus on promises fulfilled, and that the wheel of life will ever bring you toward the blessings of your higher power.

With love,

Dee

Jesus was born in the spring and the Catholic Church needed a reason to take over a popular pagan holiday the people refused to give up.
