I have my whole family over and I cook, I love to cook the holiday foods. Turkey and all the fixings, swedish meatballs, cookies, fudge, jelly rolls, ham, cranberry relish....many many things. Have to say we love our food. I am just getting tired of cooking the same things and I am looking for ideas.

no offense but what does 'go to church' have to do with food? We all eat right? Maybe I am wrong. Sorry -I will be in church monday all day with my intrevenous feeding tube.

Why not look for some new recipes for some of your traditional favorites?
You could spice things up a little that way and not ruin the traditions your family loves at all.

Well on Yule (the 21st) we will have ham and/or turkey, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, sweet potatoes, stuffing, cranberry sauce, green peas, gravy, rolls and that green jello goop my crazy aunt makes every year. Then we will eat junk food and play games as we keep an all night vigil. Then we will all have yet another huge meal at breakfast. It's kind of a family slumber party. I honestly can't wait! Pagans are so fun...especially in families!

Have a Cool Yule and a Merry Christmas and a happy Hannakuh and Kwanza everyone! Oh and happy day off to the Atheists and Agnostics!

My family has the "all snack meal" on Christmas Eve. The kids all pick their favorite finger foods and snack foods with lots of fondue and bagel bites. Christmas Day is a very nice brunch with smoked turkey and blintzes.

What about you?

i dunno. I'm going to my mother's for x-mas eve and to my husband's family for x-mas. His family insists on having their thing exactly on x-mas every year and there is just no room for comprimise. I drives me up a wall. There are other people who have families too, people!
