The devil went for Eve knowing that she was easier to deceive than Adam. Adam did not submit to Eve but he did not exercise his headship by keping silent when the devil tempted Eve. The point is that Adam should have exercised his headship when Eve was under spiritual attack because Eve was more easily swayed by her emotions. The husband is head of the wife - Ephesians 5:23 - has the spiritual authority.

Well, it is argued that Adam following Eve is what set us off wrong. So therefore men should not follow women, but the other way around. That is putting it crudely, but I'm just pointing out where that argument leads.

Adam came first and Eve was made from Adams rib , and along time ago this was right because women were just there to have babies and take care of the home and it has changed alot because women also work now , not just taking care of the house they do much more . Then men did take care of their families .

Since when are men considered the head of the family? I know Christian women who believe that, and they are ignorant doormats, and I don't have any respect for them. My husband and I are partners in life, and we work things out together. What could be more Christian than that?
I actually had a church woman say to me, "Women are happiest when they are in submission to a man." That was years ago, and to this day that comment renders me speechless. This same woman was so happy being in submission to men that she cried all the time, had a chronic skin condition, prematurely gray hair, and a smile as long and wide as a paperclip.

What do you mean Eve was being followed by Adam? Like he was following her around the Garden?

You are making up facts, my dear. Women are the weaker sex, and have been subservient to men since the dawn of time. Adam and Eve are fictitious characters in a flawed, man-made book. If you want to, one day, declare yourself as the head of your family, you should, at least, try to improve your general knowledge.

Adam was SUPPOSED to be the head of the family. And really, where is your proof that he followed Eve anyhow? Just because he ate the fruit? That is one incident. For all we know he was the "man" all the rest of the time?
I don't know... just my thoughts

The Bible establishes a "pecking order" within the family.
The husband is the head of the wife (Ephesians 5:20-33).
Yet the husband and the wife are to serve one another.

A family needs someone to be the overseer for the entire situation. Most of the time, the woman is caring for the children and the general running of the house, so it devolves upon the man to be the "head". A wise woman knows how to direct her man's concern to the important situations in the family, and guide his reactions to resolve problems. He is the protector.
