What does Mr. Gibson think, that we're so stupid that we are not able to read in between the lines of his movie and get the message he's really trying to get through?. Another coward and prudish attempt to cleanse his beloved Christianity from historical blame. Money and stupidity, not a good combination.

I think you believe that you are entirely too smart. I saw nothing to indicate what you claim. The story was attempt to recreate a period in the lives of the Myans. Where was there any reference to the Christian other than the arrival of the Spanish at the end of the film.

While the Catholic church perseveres with the Trinity doctrine, it will forever be alienated from God.
(John 1:18) No man has seen God at any time; the only-begotten god who is in the bosom [position] with the Father is the one that has explained him.

Thousands saw Jesus. So he cannot be Almighty God. But it is Jesus, here described as an 'only begotten' god [ spiritual being] who is in the bosom position with his Father [Almighty God] and has explained him
Almight God was NEVER...BEGOTTEN.
Jesus was created by his Father, [ Proverbs 8;22-31

Don't generalize. It makes you seem foolish and bigoted. Christianity and Catholicism are not synonymous.
Many of the victims of the power-plays of the Catholic church were quiet, peace-loving Christians. And there are many Christians in the Catholic church.
Just don't assume that they are one and the same.

That movie was awesome, although with many unbelievable scenes. What collective guilt are you talking about? "Historical guilt" is a figment of liberal imagination.

You have issues that need ironing out. Seek help. Try God. He's the only one that can work miracles and you'd need one.
