Why not end a rant with...'Please don't try to think anymore about what I said because then you will realize the hypocritical, illogical, ignorance of it.' ? Isn't that basically what's is said in these people's minds before they put 'It's that simple.' ...I'm not a mind reader, that's why I am asking.

I've never heard a Christian end a rant with the phrase "it's that simple," but any Christian who would do that is arrogant and is being disrespectful to the person they're "talking" to. I am a Christian, and not only do I refuse to rant, I refuse to demand that other people see the world the same way I do. It's arrogant for anyone, a Christian included, to believe that they have a handle on doctrine, religion, foreign policy, or even dishwashing for that matter. I try to keep a handle on my own life and my own affairs, which makes me way too busy to stick my nose into the affairs of others. It's that simple. :)

I am a Christian and I will tell you NOTHING is that simple. Christianity is complex, even though the concept is simple. Living a Christian lifestyle is complex. Life is complex, and Christianity is part of life. We are humans designed with many, many, many contradictory features. We have desires and needs and emotions and fears and weaknesses that cause us to act hypocritically. I am a Christian, and at times, I am a hypocrite. I try to practice what I preach (so to speak), but it is hard and I sometimes fail - really often, actually. So, it is a work in progress, and I enjoy studying and trying to do what I need to do, but I am not perfect, nor is any other Christian. It is just that simple (sorry).

I wonder why you use the word "rant". Could most arguments against Christianity also be considered "rant" - meaning repeated phrases that are not really thought out bythe person who uses them, and which are used to oppose some idea.
Personally, I think it's a cheap argument to accuse people of the opposit view of "ranting". Better to think up some argument that really means something.
EDIT:
Although as I look through the comments above, your word "rant" really comes to my mind. People who argue by insulting.

They want there irrational "logic" to sink into your head and kill all your brain cells. If it's simple than it's easier to do that. Seriously! Sometimes when they talk, I can feel it trying to get in through me ear! I grab it and through it on the ground and step on it real quick. I looks like one of those little black slugs.

Seriously though. It does make my eye twitch.

They saw someone else write it and they thought it was cool.

Personally I think they should say something like.

"Just put your brain in park. It doesn't hurt and it saves you from the burden of actually having to think for yourself."
