I have led four people to the Lord Jesus Christ on the side of YA, then I advised them to leave this forum until they are stronger in their faith, because of all the misinformation from both Christians and non Christians alike.

I keep in touch with them all at least once a week.

I have yet to see an opinion posted here worthy of actually converting someones entire belief system. That seems pretty bad. But it's true that you can learn from others and take their perspective into consideration.

This site definitely does let you see what the christian wackos out there are like which might influence your decision.

hahaha, sorta.

Ive always loved studying other religions and have always been an earthy person, so i've now moved to spirituality more so than religion. i guess this time in my life was right to re think what i believe and why.the reason i was christian was because of how i was brought up and i personally dont think thats a good enough reason.

as i said before i've always been earthy, and when i look back now, i guess was never 100% devoted to god, never understood much of why i did anything and it was always going to happen it was just a matter of when.

so i dont think it was cuz of yahoo answers, but the people on yahoo answers helped, gave me advice pretty much to believe what i feel. and so i did. and to everyone who helped thank you!

I came here as a Christian, and I'm now an atheist. This was the beginning of my journey. But you have to convert yourself. No one and nothing can do it for you. You either look at things objectively or you don't.

I defend the One True Faith knowing that the Lord is Holy and Just and the only One to whom everyone will stand before in the day of judgement.

Even if people arent converted, at least everyone is more educated on each others beliefs and points of view so we can make better decisions.

No, but it has opened my eyes to the fact that people don't really know much about religions' histories..

I don't think anyone can be converted to anything unless they really want to be converted themselves. "Oh I was converted, I was converted!" that's what people say when they've changed their minds and don't want others to know about it That's just silly..... No one can make me believe what I don't want to believe.

Not me...

But listening to the Christians here makes me very very glad I'm an atheist.

Well, I've not been converted, but I've been convinced that Christianity is a load of crap.
