The holidays will sparkle brightly when you whip up a batch of these chocolate
favorites!
Servings: 48

Ingredients:
3 1/4 cups crushed vanilla wafers
3/4 cup confectioners' sugar
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 1/2 cups chopped walnuts
3 tablespoons light corn syrup
1/2 cup rum or Bourbon



Directions:
1. In a large bowl, stir together the crushed vanilla wafers, 3/4 cup
confectioners' sugar, cocoa, and nuts. Blend in corn syrup and Alcohol.
2. Shape into 1 inch balls, and roll in additional confectioners' sugar. Store
in an airtight container for several days to develop the flavor. Roll again in
confectioners' sugar before serving.

I've never tried this with Bourbon but should work.

Bourbon Balls

Ingredients

(18 servings)

1 1/2 c Confectioner's sugar,
Divided
1 c Graham cracker crumbs
1/2 c Pecans
1 tb Unsweetened cocoa powder
3 tb Bourbon
2 tb Light corn syrup


Instructions

In bowl of food processor, combine 1 cup confectoner's sugar, graham cracker crumbs, pecans and cocoa. Process with quick on/off pulses. Add bourbon and corn syrup. Process, using quick on/off pulses, until mixture begins to hold together. Press and roll mixtue into 1 inch balls. Toss each ball in remaining 1/2 cup confectioners sugar to coat. Store in tightly covered container at room temperature. NOTE: If desired, pecans can be finely chopped and ingredients mixed together by hand. Makes about 18 balls.

HOLIDAY BOURBON BALLS

3 c. (12 oz.) vanilla wafers, finely crushed
1 c. pecans, finely chopped
1/4 c. light corn syrup
2 tbsp. unsweetened cocoa
1/2 c. bourbon
1/2 c. granulated sugar

In a large bowl, thoroughly mix all ingredients except for the 1/2 cup of sugar. Shape mixture into 1 inch balls. Roll balls in the sugar. Store in a tightly covered container for at least 3 days before serving to allow flavors to mellow. Keeps up to 2 weeks in a tightly covered container. Yields 3 1/2 dozen balls at 85 calories each.

1 (12 ounce) box vanilla wafers, crushed fine
3 tablespoons cocoa
1 cup powdered sugar
3 tablespoons Karo syrup
1 cup nuts, chopped
3/8 cup bourbon or brandy or rum

Mix all ingredients together well.
Shape into balls.
Roll in additional powdered sugar.
Store in tin can.

1 cup powdered sugar
1/3 cup bourbon or rum
1/4 cup light corn syrup
2 1/2 cups vanilla wafer crumbs (use a blender or food processor)
1 cup chopped pecans

Stir together sugar, bourbon, and corn syrup. Add crumbs and nuts and mix until evenly moistened. Roll between hands into balls. Can be rolled in powdered sugar or dipped into melted candy coating.

You should always be very selective about who you share your balls with. You don't want to go sharing or letting just anyone taste your balls. I mean some people would be quick to try to steal and market your balls, and you just wouldn't want that! On the other hand, I love Bourbon and Rum Balls and I would love to taste yours, because I'm sure it would be heavy on the Rum. Mmm rum.
