Does anyone know how to speed read? What method do you use, how long did it take you to get good and how often did you practice?

well, I was thinking about taking speed-reading courses. As for now, I just read as much as I can....but speed-reading can really help, especially on the SAT, and life in general :)

Yes.. Didn't take long.. But I love reading and any classes involving it in school. Jr high i don't know the technical terms for it but basically it would be slideshows of fast moving words and u were tested on how much u retained from it. It reminded me of when u take tests to look for mistakes to see how good u would be at proofreading. So we practiced during class and it lasted probably a month and i did really well at it..

just read often, read lots of books . that way, u will get used to reading and ur brain will atomaticly speed read
