please pick up the phone and at least call if you can not afford to travel to see your mother at this time ...
I, myself, and my siblings were all young adults on Active Duty with the US Military stationed around the world when I got notified of my parents deaths at around 3AM just as I came off a long TDY ... the Police tracked down my Quarters and left a message on my Answering Machine (really, really a cold, cold thing -- just a demand to come identify the bodies). The American Red Cross helped with notifying my siblings .. and yes, it was very difficult for all of us ...

there are groups out there who would help you get there i know when mymother died in washington state and i m in wyoming they were ablle to helpo me get there along with my brother and husband and my brothers wife.Ask the churches or youre church there is a way if youre will is big enough. My mother was my best friend and i wuld have walked if the need had arisen but when you seek out gods help you will find there is people out there who do care and want to help. as youre church or red cross you might even check out the ywca. i hope you find what you are looking for, I know if i would not have been there a part of me would have died with mymother.Not that a part didnt but a bigger part would have if i wouldnt have a least made the attempt to get there.good luckc and godbless hope you make it

I am so, sorry about your predicament you find yourself in, but why didn't you specify why you can not travel to be with your Mother, when she needs her family with her, especially her daughter. My consolations goes to you and if it is monetary problems as to why you can not go, I am very very sorry,about it. Pray to the almighty to help you bear, this big lose and to give you strength to go on with your life. I care.

try the phone ; can u get a video mail to her ; it may be the best you can do . my mother died in the usa , i cant travel to the place due to illness so i said goodby to her last time i saw her 5 years before she died and im glad i did
