I've got a 7 1/2 month old spayed female kitten. Recently, she has been pooping in a corner of the living room. I clean the trays frequently as 3 kittens share two trays. She has been fine sharing the tray with the other 2 kittens (8wks & 12 wks).
I'm considering getting ANOTHER tray but they all share it and go in either tray so I don't see how getting another tray is going to help.
Any suggestions on how to prevent her going poop in the living room?

Also, her stools are runny (like diarrheoa), I feed her Purina ONE kibble and Whiskas we food. She is over-weigh so I will be going to the vet in a day or two to pick up some Royal Canin kibble. Any suggestions on how to get her stools a bit firmer? They are very runny.

She's tabby, actually =P
I'll get her checked out by the vet when I go and get the kibble.

Oh and no, she doesn't have worms.
I've probably wormed her TOO often!

put the kitty litter box in the front for now and slowly move it slowley to a different room then out the door or where ever you like it

If your kitty has diarrhea and is going in the wrong spot, there could be a more serious medical reason for this. If you are going to the vet anyway, and have not already done so, you should perhaps take your kitty with you so the vet can give you a professional opinion.

I used to have a cat with runny stools (nicknamed him poo-cat, ha ha) and I would sometimes feed him real chicken and rice. I also fed him a brand of food that is high in dietary fiber. A feed or pet store can help pick one out.

You can clean pet messes from your floor with white vinegar. It neutralizes the pH of the pet mess, and will prevent pets from going there ever again.

Female cats can be very picky about where they like to go poop. You are right to have her checked out for any medical conditions. Once you know it's behavioral rather than medical you can go to work on the problem. You might try closing her in a small room (like a bathroom) with a clean litter tray. If you can get her using it then you can try letting her back with the others. If she refuses to use the tray again, confine her again. Good luck with this.

How do you mean, she was raped? Male cats will ignore a female cat unless she's in heat. You said that your kitty was spayed, so she couldn't be in estrus, unless the vet did a really terrible job and didn't take care of her. So unless you actually know that she was mounted by witnessing it, I wouldn't assume it was "rape". Now, she could easily have tangled with a feral cat, and if so, any fight could have resulted in issues for her -- unless she's been vaccinated for a bunch of things, your kitty could have some festering wounds, internal injuries.... I don't mean to scare you, but if she cannot lie down without crying out, and this is new behaviour, then you need to take her to the vet.

first off, I bet she is a calico! They for some reason, will not share a litter box. At least that has been my experiance with them. Second, try bleaching the spot several times, she must smell past cats in that area. Third, I would have her re-checked by the vet to make sure she has no worms or a bowel problem.
Good luck
