To Masturbate?
I'm Not Asking, But Only Asking Because I Want To Hear Your Opinions On It.

Coming From a Christian, I Don't Think It's a Sin At All, If It Was a Sin And God Didn't Want Us To Do It Then Wouldn't He Have Mentioned It In The Bible? Or Wouldn't It Be Like A 11th Commandment?
I mean, He Wants Us To Be Sin Free, So Wouldn't He Have Told Us Not To If It Was a Sin?

Give Me Your Opinion.
:D

It is mentioned in the old "not spilling your seed" & in the new "if you think it" the sin has already been commited (you are masterbating to a thought). It is also a sin for me to "judge you" and "I am to worry about the plank in my eye before the speck in yours". So let me just say this.........

The problem with "christians" now days is they feel they can bend god & his rules to meet their lifestyles. It does not work like this as you are suppose to mold your lifestyle around him. You must take a real hard look with in & see if you think God is the creator & without sin. If you truly think this you would be terrified to even think he should bow to "how you feel or what you think" on a subject, like you are his master or even his equal.

They say there are 6 billion people living on the planet right now. Then take the billions of billions of people who have already died or have yet to live. Another person stated that if is a sin 99% of the people are going to hell. Well I will not say going to hell, but the bible does state that only 144,000 get into the kingdom of heaven. So his statment is actually an understatement as 99.9999999999999999% of all the generations will not get into the kingdom of heaven. The reason is prolly cuz they all felt that God & the bible should conform to them & not them to God.

Sadly I don't have an opinion. And from a biblical point of view, you are right that God does not talk about this.

In a society where engagements happen in preteens, the topic just doesn't come up. And it is not address in the 613 commandments found in the books of Moses.

The biblical view of sexuality can be found in the Song of Solomon (Song of Songs) where a young girl (woman) talks about her relationship with her lover. I find it surprising yet quite beautiful.

Answer: This is not discussed and definitely is not forbidden. When God doesn't say, it is for us to figure out. Whatever opinions you hear, remember none of them is biblical. If you want to see how this issue fits in a Christian life, look at 1Cor 10:23-24 for the Christian restrictions.

Good luck.

yes it is. Why would a person masturbate? Its not to worship the lord or to help anyone. one does it to satisfy a sexual urge. Anything that controls you you are a slave to. if you are a slave to sexual self gratification then you are sinning. if the bible named every sin you aren't to do then there wouldn't be enough books in the world to hold it. I am more frightened by the people answering your question and especially the "christians" that say it is not a sin. My fellow christians if you are christian then you should know what a sin is. masturbation would be categorized under sexual immorality. what would jesus do?

i hope this question doesnt get deleted because of the word used
there is only one reference to any thing close to self stimulus in the scriptures.
but stimulating oneself is against the practice of Chastity.
by definition in Jewish Mitsvahs a person is unclean until they submerse themselves in a michvah. sorta like taking a shower and changing your clothes. If you have a self induced ejaculation you could be unclean for up to a week. thats my opinion only.

but jesus said if you LUST after someone you are guilty of adultery. which may be a lesser judgment, or maybe not that equal to actually commiting fornication with a nother partner.
the catholic church has a doctrine of sperm being sacred and even use the words 'every drop'.
mormon missionaries have been sent home or even dissfellowshipped fro confessing to such an iniquity.

so this subject may not be a sin. altogether but it definitly falls under the category of Iniquity, the prophet divided iniquity and sin into two different categories though some people use them to mean the same thing.
But if it is better to marry than to burn (with lust) than how much less evil is it to self induce an ejaculation if there is no one to be married to. ?

Jesus said that whatsoever a man thinks in his head he is already guilty of doing. So it's not the masturbating that is the sin but rather what you are thinking about while you are doing it that is the sin.

GOOD QUESTION. I GUESS THE ANSWER DEPENDS ON WHAT CROSSES YOUR MIND WHEN YOUR IN THE ACT. JESUS SAID THAT WHEN YOU LUST AFTER ANOTHER..... YOU/VE ALREADY COMMITED THE ACT.

Defend the poor and fatherless; Do justice to the afflicted and needy. Deliver the poor and needy; Free them from the hand of the wicked.

Psalm 82:3-4

GOD BLESS

It is a sin and it is mentioned in the Bible. It's called fornication.

Actually according to Leviticus masturbation is a sin.

Personally I do not think it is a sin. There have been pictures taken by ultra sound of babies in the uterus that were playing with their genitals.

Vinny! for crying out loud! There's a spell check button on the freaking window!

In answer to the question. No. Its not a sin. I think the Pope said so once when I was in High School, there was dancing in the hallways.
