Do you think they should be rewarded for being criminals when there are so many trying to come to America through legal channels?

Lets see, they brake the law to get into the country. They brake the law when they buy/steal someone's identity so they can work. They use medical services in hospitals and if they can't pay, they don't. They don't pay taxes (which is against the law). Man, that is a hard question.

They should not, no one but no one is above the law. We do need to show the whole world that here in the U S A, we do not reward law breakers. As i've said many times here, i've yet to see a really good answer for as to why they pick the illegal way of coming here. Also in most cases we must remember that most broke not only one law, that of being here illegally, but went on to openly use fake or stolen IDs, and SS cards.

Why should people be kept out?

Perhaps the growing epidemic in extinct illnesses, such as Hepatitis and Tuberculosis returning at an alarming rate is ONE good reason, and yes, it is coming from people from the SOUTH of the border.

We have a legal system allowing a certain amount of people to keep the financial balance in this country. That is, unless you like society to be full of either all rich, or all poor people.

Any other reasons?

I am NOT against people coming over legally, but "being peaceful" isn't a requirement to get migration status. 3% of the population is illegal, yet the federal prison system is comprised of 30% of illegal aliens.

I could easily make the same argument about stereotyping illegals as "violent felons", just as you did "being peaceful".

We were immigrants, but we have also evolved as a nation. We have subsidized care for a certain amount of people in the nation, not the whole world or "anyone who can fly, float or run" to the United States. This is to protect our nation first, and then any "extra" can be given as "foreign aid" to help other people.

It sucks when other people look at the system and demand what is traditionally offered. Kind of like a bum demanding a dollar from you when you have just enough to make your rent.

It's not about race. Or hate. It's about common sense, people.

Not all illegals inmigrants. In the case of refugees things work differently. They can flee their countries, and get somewhere else illegally, and if they ask for refuge, it would be fine. I am worried how all this hatred against immigrants could affect the people who are genuinely seeking refuge.

No they should not be rewarded. When they are caught they should go to jail they broke the law. If a US citizen broke the law they would be punished

We have a somewhat similar problem in Australia and we lock them up mostly in our detention centres, I lived in the US in the late 80s and early 90s and if I remember correctly didnt you use to patrol the border and shoot illegals?

they shouldn't, we can't help all the people who live here, what would happen if we just let everyone come here. It's like having an open house party .... eventually you run out of food and beverages something gets broken, someone gets hurt and it all comes to an end.

Well according to all the Mexican and other foreign flags being waved doing the marches earlier this year then YES of course they should. (I'm being sarcastic by the way)

Obviously, they shouldn't. The real question is, why does Washington refuse to enforce the law? Why is it left to state and local law enforcement, and civilians like the Minutemen to do it for them?

Well we need them in Washington DC to do the work for which we have a shortage of workers -- office cleaning, lawn care, construction day workers, child care. Illegal or not, they hare needed. Why don't we just raise the number we allow in.
