The only time I would die for my spouse if we were in danger and I throw myself on top of her to cover her from the danger so that she can get away.

Anyway, how to convice your husband not to kill himself. Well, I don't know, maybe say something that the kids will be very sad and won't remember how he was like. Or... maybe say that even if he kills himself, there isn't much coverage in the life policy. So, you will be forced to sell the home and make changes in your life. It will help a little, but not much. OR.. say you will kill yourself if he kills himself because you need him very much (even though you probably don't. lol)

Tell him to check the life insurance policies. All life insurance policies have a clause in them saying that if you commit suicide, your family doesn't get any money, ever. That should convince him, because it's the truth. Then take your husband to the hospital, because he needs some help. He's obviously really depressed, and the doctors can and will help him. Good luck.

tell him it's illegal, immoral, and will put you in a bad light with the insurance companies, the local(and maybe even federal) authorities, and the community. Tell him that there is a chance that you won't even get the insurance money if when researched it is discovered that the death wasn't an accident. Your husband is a very stupid person for even thinking such a thing. And to answer your first question, yes I would die for my spouse but only if necessary to spare his life, not to commit insurance fraud and suicide.

Let him know that killing himself will not only keep your family from collecting any life insurance because insurance does not include suicide but he will also traumatize you and your children for life. It is selfish of him to think of making you survive him and live with the guilt of knowing he died to give you more money.

Life is more than money. It is hard when you don't have alot; I know. My husband supports me and our five kids without me being able to work due to my medical problems. We always manage though...

You need to tell your husband how much he means to you and see if you can get him to seek psychiatric help if he feels he needs to commit suicide. Any time someone has thoughts of death or suicide it is a sign of depression and potentially other mental illnesses.

Good luck to you and your husband.

Tell him this -- if he does this voluntarily the ONLY thing that the family will get is GRIEF - - because when one commits suicide - - there is NO payment on Life Insurance.

Hard to say this -- but it is TRUE ... and the only thing he is going to do is to cause you, the children, and the family a bunch of grief -- and nothing more. For when a life ends, it can NOT be re-gained .. and all adults have to deal with DIFFICULTIES -- some do better with it than others, but if you do not AT LEAST confront the difficulties head on -- how in the world are you going to be able to be a support to your family?

Make sure he understands that there is no way to help nor make sure his family is helped when he is dead. And that even more so that will cause emotional problems for his family that just arent worth it. I'm sure you family would give every red cent you had and live on the street if it would help you could bring him back to life if he ever died.explain to him that his life is far more important to you then any income.

I dont think family life insurance is as important as once life.. No one has the right to take his/her life just because of life insurance. Life is given to us by god and only he can take it if he wants to..Life is so precious and wonderful. money cannot buy once happiness or life.

OMG, that's so selfless!!! But honestly, don't let him do that to himself! You should get a job and help out so that you can afford some life insurance, it's the best way!

That is terrible and very selfish too. There have to be other ways that he can provide and by taking himself away from the family that is selfish. It sounds like he is trying to just do for you guys but this isn't the way to do it and will end up being a terrible thing for you kids. Tell him thanks but no thanks, no amount of money would be worth it to you if you can't have him.

commiting suicide automatically rules out insurance money. It would be caught no matter what he thought, then you would have funeral bills and be in worse shape. Money doesn't make a life and he needs to grow up and realize that.
