What does getting a tattoo feel like to you?

Getting a tattoo feels like when you have a new kitten, and this kitten has sharp little claws and is turning around and kneading your flesh like when you make bread, just to finally settle, and snuggle in.
The only down side is there is hours and hours of that little cat poking away at you , the type of thing that makes you wonder if your imaginary cat, which you are thinking of while you are getting a tattoo, has some sort of attention deficit disorder, or maby has eaten some sugar.
Tattoos feel something like that.

Slight stinging unless it's over a bone then a little bit of pain.

The endorphins released when you get a tattoo is addictive (at least it is to me) and oddly enough, your skin won't start taking the ink until those chemicals are released. After those endorphins kick in though, the pain lessens and it just turns to a slightly annoying sensation.

The endorphin rush is one reason when you see someone with one tattoo, chances are, they'll have another one.

It depends allot on the location and outline. Outlines usually hurt more than color. Some people describe it as a cat scratch, others a hot cigarette a bee sting or a hot raiser blade. It,s really about your pain tolerance. Once in a while someone actually enjoys it.

Yeah it hurts but you get over it. I look at it this way, it is a couple of hours of some pain and awkwardness and then its over and u have something beautiful or awesome on you forever. I have three and want more. I am addicted to the rush I can tell u that!!

for me, the outlining felt like someone scraping a toothpick across my skin. yeah it hurts, but its really not so bad. coloring in hurt the worst for me b/c its going over the same spot over and over. whereas with the outline, you make a line and move onto a different area.
tattoos do hurt yes, but if you're getting something that you truly love and want on your body for the rest of your life, its very much worth it in the end.

People are going to tell you all different things...Some will tell you it didnt hurt, some will. I have seen guys bite their bottom lip in pain, and have seen girls take em like a champ. Its all different, especially where your getting it done. My half sleeve and wrists hurt...my chest and the back of my neck didnt bother me at all. Everyone has different pain tolerance.

It differs in places. Mine was on my lower back and the part were all my nerves were on the bottom made my skin feel like it was on FIRE. But the top part where there was lots of fat didn't hurt too bad.

Lots and Lots of needle pokes, then it feels like a big bee sting, then it gets kind of numb and after that its a breeze. But it can also depend on what part of your body you get it on.

Closer to the bone really hurts, the top of your foot (hurts), all the way around your ankle (the back of your ankle hurts) hip (not to bad but does hurt) back (not to bad) calf (not bad) shoulder (not to bad) and b**b (not bad)

I have a total of nine, want one more and then I will be done:-)

It feels like an old fashioned indian burn....

Grab your wrist or ankle, squeeze really hard and rotate your grip back and fourth, it feels about like that, just a little more intense.
