Everyone is already in heaven. This life is only a dream you are having while you are safely asleep in Gods arms.

I don't know about the Mexican version of Joseph Smith, but all spirits go to the spirit world to reside until their resurrection. Joseph Smith is now in the spirit world doing an important work for the Lord in preparation for the last days.
After the resurrection and the judgment of Christ and His 12 Apostles we will reap our eternal reward according to our righteousness or unrighteousness.

I believe he is awaiting judgement along with everyone else who has passed on...though I do believe his "calling and election has been made sure"...which basically means Christ has already prepared a place for Joseph in the Celestial Kingdom.
I do believe he is preaching/teaching the spirits in spirit prison and doing whatever the Lord wants him to do, awaiting exaltation.
I cannot wait to meet him someday and thank him for all he did.

According to Mormonism, Smith is a god and is in charge of his own planet. Didn't you know that Mormons get to become gods, but there is a catch. To do this, a Mormon must do more good works than bad. Otherwise they can't get there own planet to rule. I just wonder who is keeping score and I wish we all had this point system so we could know that our good works outweigh our bad works.

I believe that he is waiting for judgement, even though he doesn't need it. Either that, or he is preaching to all the people who didn't recieve the gospel on earth, and teaching them what we believe in. For more info on us, and what we believe in, go to www.mormon.org
