I'd like to think that in these modern times, he and a handful of apostles don cone-shaped party hats and spend a few hours at the bowling alley, and end the night with a cross-shaped cake (angel food, natch) and charades. What're your thoughts?

That's about as exciting as he gets these days unfortunately... His partys used to be legendary but now that he's in his 2,000's he's really toned it down. That's why I turned down the invite this year. If I have to see one more apostle sack race...

He does not have to. You and other celebrate for him. Unless you are not caught in the Xmas spirit. Or you are some recluse or hermit. Well, think of it. The whole world is celebrating Christmas. I don't know whether you will gain credit for what you have done or contributed during this celebration. That's why God says, when the people understand one another easily by verbal and written communication, they can do anything they imagine. Well, also remember, that would be the time the end of the world cometh. Read the records on the tower of Babel and the book of Revelation. By caught up rather than be left behind. Serious and severe tribulations await those who are left behind.
