Macs are very user friendly and are compatible with Limewire. I personally love my Powerbook G4 and am thinking of upgrading to a Macbook.

Hello ketan,

Congratulations. I've got an older PowerBook, but I'm impressed with the looks of the MacBook too. I love the built-in iSight camera for video conferencing. There are only slight differences between the Mac and Windows PCs now. They've been copying each other for years. :-) Here's some web sites that explain the Mac and the differences:

I'm not sure about LimeWire for the Mac, but their web site says that it is compatible. The beta version of LimeWire for Mac OS X is at version 4.13.0 and can be found here:

If you could check out a local Apple Store, or other Mac dealer where you can try using the Mac yourself, you can get an idea how it is. Also, see if there's a Mac users group in your area and go to a meeting. Best of luck to you.

They are pretty easy to learn, just throw everything you know about a PC out the window. Once you get used to it, you will never go back to a PC. Mac OS's have a more logical way of doing things, so once you get all of the Microsoft crap out of your brain, things will be so much easier. As far as Lime Wire, there is a mac version. Matter a fact, these days there is nearly an application available for macs that are used on PC's as well. Even if there is a program that you cant find for the mac, there is software out there that will let you simulate a windows PC on a mac machine in order to run those applications if you absolutely need to. I hope all of this has helped. Please feel free to contact me if you need anything else.

Yes, you can get Limewire for a Mac.

I don't think it's going to be easy for you to use immediately if you're used to an Intel-based windows machine. Yeah, they claim it's intuitive but there are major differences. Keystrokes for apps are different, OS is completely different, that sort of thing. You will have a learning curve.

Plus software for the Mac is more difficult to buy IMHO. Not as easy to go into Best Buy and grab utilities off of the shelf retail. Also normal products like Microsoft Office isn't as well supported (although you CAN buy the suite for Word, Excel, Powerpoint for the Mac) in my opinion.

I've used both in my life. Prefer my Windows PC! When my ex left, I got rid of all the Macs in my house LOL.

Limewire? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Have you ever had a limited user account on a PC? Owning a Mac is kinda like that. I would NEVER purchase one of those overpriced peices of junk.
